5. Use Somebody- This song can easily relate to Holden’s efforts to find a girl to connect with. On many occusions throughout the book, Holden attempted to make a relationship with a girl. He called up one girl, danced with another, and tried running away with a different one, etc.

You know that I could use somebody
He does this because of his desire for somebody to listen to him, and it also seems like he is interested in having a girlfriend, as many kids do at his age.
